Bring intention to your altar with this 7 inch Wooden Athame, featuring a pentagram carved into the handle. Its natural wood offers an earthy presence, making it a meaningful addition to rituals centered on protection, balance, and connection with the elements.
In many contemporary Pagan and Wiccan traditions, the athame is a ceremonial tool used to direct intention, trace sacred boundaries, and symbolically cast or release a circle. The pentagram is often associated with earth, air, fire, water, and spirit, with its five points representing the elements held in harmony. Together, the wooden form and carved symbol invite a grounded, deliberate approach to your spiritual practice.
Whether displayed among your sacred tools or held during ceremony, this wooden athame offers a tangible reminder that the heart of ritual lies in the intention you bring.
Suggested Uses
Use your wooden athame to symbolically cast and close a ritual circle, acknowledge the four directions, or direct intention during prayer, meditation, and spellwork. Place it on your altar as a symbol of discernment, personal boundaries, and focused will. It can also serve as a symbolic ritual blade for practitioners who prefer wood to metal.
For a simple practice, hold the athame comfortably, take a few steady breaths, and name your intention. Slowly trace a circle in the air around your ritual space, visualizing a boundary that supports your focus. When finished, retrace the circle and give thanks according to your tradition.
