In the Folklore

Van Van Oil originated in New Orleans Voodoo and hoodoo, where it became one of the most beloved and widely used formulas in the tradition. Its primary ingredient — lemongrass, known in the tradition as "van van" — gives the formula its name and its characteristic bright, clean, citrus-green scent. Lemongrass has long been prized for its power to cleanse negativity, attract good luck, and open the way for positive change.
