How to Work This Candle
Come to Saint Ann as you would come to a grandmother without pretense, without formality, simply with your need and your love. Write your petition naming what you are asking her to carry for you: a child you are hoping for, a grandchild you are praying over, a family you are trying to hold together, a long wait you need the strength to sustain. Place the petition beneath the candle. Dress the top of the glass with Saint Ann oil or a gentle floral oil such as rose or lily, both associated with her purity and maternal grace. Light the candle on her feast day, July 26th, if your timing allows or simply light it when the need is present, which is always enough. Speak your petition to her plainly and from the heart. She has been listening to the prayers of mothers and grandmothers for two thousand years. She is listening still.
