How to Work This Candle
Begin with a spiritual bath before you light this candle if at all possible — hyssop is the classic uncrossing herb, used in the tradition for centuries based on Psalm 51: Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean. Brew a strong hyssop tea, let it cool, and pour it over yourself from the neck down while reciting Psalm 51 or your own prayer of cleansing. Pat dry with a white cloth. Then come to the candle. Write your petition naming what you need removed: the crossed condition, the hex, the bad luck, the blockage, the specific situation that has been wrong. Be direct. Name it plainly. Place the petition beneath the candle.
